Wenshi township is located in the southwest of Yuanhui District of Luohe City, 20 kilometers away from the urban area. It borders Xiping County in the south, Jiujie township of Wuyang County in the north, Wucheng town of Wuyang County in the West and Daliu town in the East. It has a total area of 42 square kilometers, 40 500 mu of arable land, 6626 households and 23561 people (2017). It has 15 administrative villages and 22 natural villages.

Luowu highway, luowu railway and Luoping expressway are a typical agricultural township with convenient transportation.

Historical evolution

Ask ten, Zeng Ming Shili shop. North to North Xuji, South to lingzhai, West to Wucheng, east to Caodian are Shili, and has a lodging shop, named Shilidian.

During the Xianfeng Period of the Qing Dynasty, a village was built to prevent banditry. In memory of Confucius' visit to other countries, scholars changed its name to Wenjin village.

It's named after Wen Shicun and Wen Jin. In 1992, it set up ten administrative areas and ten townships in 1993.

In 1997, it covers an area of 45.7 square kilometers and has a population of 27000. It governs 15 administrative villages: Wenshi, qianwenshi, Dongzhuang, Wuzhuang, xiaohewang, Qianli, Houli, Xishi, Songzhuang, Caodian, Luopo, Taoqiao, ningzhuang, Wangtian and Huangli.

In 2004, Yancheng county was put under the jurisdiction of Yuanhui district.

Economics

In recent years, around the land and the word "agriculture", the township has actively adjusted the agricultural structure, implemented large-scale, brand-oriented and market-oriented management, and promoted the "one belt, three parks and six bases" (luowu highway economic belt, high-quality tobacco planting demonstration park, pollution-free vegetable planting demonstration park, Luopo high-efficiency agricultural science and technology demonstration park, tobacco production base, cotton breeding base, and rare food A new way of agricultural economic development with ten characteristics has been found through the construction of mushroom base, pollution-free vegetable base, high-quality grain base and green scale breeding base.

Edible fungi and pollution-free vegetables have passed the provincial pollution-free vegetable base certification successfully, and the production and sales of 1500 mu pollution-free vegetables are booming. The forestry area of the township is 5700 mu, with 5 fast-growing and high-yield bases and 2000 mu of economic fruits (1300 mu of off-season peach, 400 mu of famous and high-quality fruit and 300 mu of high-quality pear), forming a 10 km luowu highway economic fruit development zone.

Four green scale breeding communities including Caodian, Luopo and qianwenshi have been built in the township, and 10 professional pig breeding villages including Dongzhuang, Qianli and ningzhuang have been developed. The number of live pigs on hand is 62000, the number of live pigs sold is 155000, and the number of poultry raised is 553000.

The main industries are Kefeng cotton processing plant, glass processing plant, Luohe Chengxiang flour mill, Xingyu oil city, etc. In the construction of small towns, agricultural means wholesale market, grain purchase market, wenshidong building materials market, fresh fruit wholesale market and Wenshi business district have been initially built.
