Gudan town

Gudan town is located in the north of Mengzhou City, Henan Province, 7.5km away from the city. It is adjacent to Heyang street in the south, Chengbo town in the East, Zhaohe town in the West and Qinyang City in the north. The town has a total area of 40.42 square kilometers (2017), 29 administrative villages, 27078 people (2017), and more than 30000 mu of arable land. Luochang, Mengji and guhuang provincial roads pass through the town, less than 20 minutes' drive away from Changji Expressway and Liangguang expressway.

Gudan town is located in the north of Mengzhou City. Historical evolution

During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to the third district. After liberation, it still belonged to the third district, and then merged into the first district, including Prince, Wangmiao, Qianfu village, Zhongfu village and Houfu village. In 1954, Gudan Township, Futai Township, quhong Township and Yusi Township were set up. In 1956, they were merged into Yusi and Gudan Central Township. In December 1983, they were changed into Gudan township. In 1992, they were withdrawn from the township to build a town.
