Menggang Town, under the jurisdiction of Changyuan City, Xinxiang City, Henan Province, adjacent to the urban area of Changyuan City, is located in the Middle East of Changyuan City, 9 kilometers away from the residence of Changyuan Municipal People's government. It is adjacent to Lugang Township across Huangdi in the East, Weizhuang street in the south, Pudong street in the west, Manchun town in the north and Fangli town in the northeast. It is 5 kilometers wide from east to west and 10 kilometers long from north to south. The total area of the town is 53 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, menggang town had a population of 49000.

Before liberation, it was menggang township. After liberation, it was three districts of Changyuan county. In 1958, it was withdrawn from the district to build Yugang people's commune. In 1983, it was changed into township. In December 2009, it was withdrawn from the township to build menggang town. By 2019, menggang town has jurisdiction over 34 administrative villages.

In 2018, menggang town had 24 industrial enterprises, 1 industrial enterprise with an annual turnover of more than 20 million yuan, and 133 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters. The fiscal revenue of the whole town is 43 million yuan, and the local GDP is 1.118 billion yuan.

In 1985, a general survey of cultural relics revealed that the stone inscription of "rebuilding fuboyu Temple" in the Ming Dynasty in Santong had a complete set of stele head, body and wall. One of the inscriptions in the orthodox period of the Tongming Dynasty, named "the reconstruction of the memorial hall of juanxien", is the earliest extant stone inscription in Changyuan. The first one was erected in July of the seventh year of Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty. The name of the tablet is "records of the Yuying ancestral hall of the newly built Duke of Jue", which was written by the criminal Department of Changyuan County, who granted Jinshi the right to administer the law of Ningxia. ". The other one is "a record of rebuilding the jade Temple of juangong" with a height of 220 cm and a width of 85 cm. It was written by Gao Yongchun, a former censor of Henan Province, who was appointed to the political secretary Zuo can by Fujian Cheng, a court official of Jinshi, and Xia Qian, a governor of Jiangxi Province, who was appointed to Chengde, a court official of Jinshi. At the end of the monument is "the auspicious winter of the Jiaxu (1574) reign of Wanli". The monument mainly records the historical overview and temple appearance before and after the construction of Jue cemetery and ancestral temple. The stone tablet was announced as a county-level cultural relic protection unit in June 1986.
