Yaling town

Yaling town is located in the west of Yichuan County, 8 kilometers away from the county seat, adjacent to Chengguan town in the East, Gaoshan town and Pingping Township in the south, and connected with Fancun township of Yiyang County and Fengli town of Luolong District in the West and north respectively, with convenient transportation. Cuizhou road and Fengming road cross each other, luoluan Expressway and Southwest Ring Expressway pass through. The west exit of luoluan Expressway in Yichuan is located in Yaling, with traffic network extending in all directions. With a total area of 150 square kilometers and a population of 80000, it has jurisdiction over 41 administrative villages, 124 natural villages, 394 villager groups, and 99000 mu of cultivated land.

Evolution of organizational system

Yaling district was set up in 1936, Guangwu township was changed in 1941, and Yinan county was established in 1947. Guangwu township was transferred from Yichuan County to Yinan County as the first district. In 1949, Yinan county was abolished and returned to Yichuan County, which is still the first district. Yaling people's commune was established in 1958. In 1975, Kangping and other four brigades were assigned to Changchuan commune. At the end of 1983, it was changed to Yaling Township, and by the end of 2017, it was withdrawn to build a town.

Pingquan village is located 1.5km northeast of Liangliu village. It is said that "Pingquan pilgrimage" is one of the eight scenic spots in Luoyang.
