Liancheng, formerly known as Liancheng. Ouyanggang

Why does ouyanggang, Southeast of Tongxu County, have its own tomb and ancestral temple?

They thought that their descendants were poor, rich and humble, virtuous and stupid, and lived a long life. It is very likely that Ouyang Xiu's coffin could not be put on hold for a long time and was temporarily buried in Ouyang Gang, a beautiful Dagang in the southeast of Tongxu County near Kaifeng. Three years later, Xinzheng was moved and buried.

According to the inscription on the cemetery field of Ouyang Wenzhong in Tongxu County annals published in the Republic of China Edition, "the post is named after the tomb, and the village is named after the post The records of the city only contain the ancestral hall and the hillock, but not the cemetery and why it was buried here In the past, when the capital of Song Dynasty, Daliang, went to zibaili, Xu Yigong died in the capital, so he was buried

In 1831, Li Shihua (a native of Guangxi) was appointed as the governor of Tongxu, and he wrote Ouyang Wenzhong cemetery field record. And carved stones in front of Ouyang Xiu temple. During the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, after Ouyang Xiu of Luling in Jiangxi Province, he came to Ouyang gang in Tongxu County to pay a sacrifice. Around 1960, Ouyang Xiu's tomb was 70 meters long from north to South and 80 meters wide from east to west. In 1968, Ouyang Xiu's tomb was demolished, with a long passage and a tomb chamber. The tomb chamber was stolen and empty, with only a small earthen jar left.

Ouyang Xiu is related to Wang Gongchen (his wife and Wang's wife are sisters). Wang Gongchen's father has passed away. Ouyang Xiu also wrote the epitaph of Wang Gongchen as a gift to the minister (see the epitaph of the book).

In 1731, a stele was erected in front of Ouyang Xiu's tomb. The stele is 3.3 meters high, 0.90 meters wide and 0.25 meters thick. The stele's head is Erlong Xizhu, and it is inscribed with "61 Jushi", surrounded by characters. There is a cross script in the tablet: "Mr. wenzhonggong of Ouyang, a Confucian of Song Dynasty □". The monument was broken into three sections in 1968. The temple and Tomb of Ouyang Xiu in Tongxu County have disappeared.
