Jiaqin Township

Jiaqin township is a township under the jurisdiction of Suo county. It is located in the middle of the county, adjacent to Ru County in the south. It has jurisdiction over 14 administrative villages. The township government is stationed in Xuecun.

Township was established in 1966 and commune was established in 1971. In 1988, Jiaqin Township, Yiba Township and Xuesong Township were merged into Jiaqin township. In 1996, it had a population of about 3600. It had jurisdiction over Yutang, Muliang, gangwoka, budeka, qukaoju, seriku, danatang, ala, GADA, qurong, gongtaxue, Daxiong and ahiong 13 administrative villages. The township government stationed troops in BA (one said, it had jurisdiction over Jiaqin 1, Jiaqin 2, Wala, Seda, gongtaxue, Chedan, Yaru, Yeyong, Gami, GADA, papuguo, Daxiong, Muna Yiba No.1, Yiba No.2, Jirong, etc. In 2000, there were 4321 permanent residents in Jiaqin township (Wupu). In 2006, it governs 15 administrative villages of yemai, morang, gamika, Bude, yexue, seku, Xue, dangda, paegon, Weiba, Daxiong, gongtashi, Jirong, GADA and Wala. in 2010, the permanent population of Jiaqin township was 4983 (Liupu).
