Wenren town

Wenren Town, belonging to Qingyuan District, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located 17.7 kilometers south of Qingyuan District, bordering Donglu Township in the East, Linbao Township in Lixian County and Xiaodian town in Boye County in the south, Wangli Township and Lizhuang Township in the west, Ranzhuang town and zhangdeng town in the north. The town people's government is located in Wenren village. The maximum distance from east to west is 12.7 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 8.5 kilometers, with a total area of 66.14 square kilometers. The total area is 67.09 square kilometers, and the total registered residence population is 53633 (2018).

Wenren town gets its name because the town government is located in Wenren village. In 1958, Wenren commune was established. In May 1984, it was rebuilt as Wenren township. In November 1984, Wenren township was transformed into a town. As of October 2019, Wenren town has jurisdiction over 17 administrative villages including Wenren and Liangzhai. The town people's government is located in Wenren village.

In 2013, the total agricultural output value of Wenren town was 515 million yuan, accounting for 18.14% of the GDP; the total industrial output value was 2.323 billion yuan, an increase of 6.1% over the previous year; the total retail sales of social goods was 278 million yuan, an increase of 11.4% over the previous year.
