Zhongxing town

Zhongxing Town, belonging to Shan county of Heze City, Shandong Province, is located in the east of Shan county, bordering Zhaozhuang town of Feng County in the East, Zhuji town and Caitang Town in the south, litianlou town in the west, Shilou town and Zhangji town in the north. The area is 121.22 square kilometers. In 2018, 82422 people registered residence.

In September 1958, the red flag commune was established. In January 1959, it was renamed Zhongxing commune. In December 1983, Zhongxing town was established. In June 2020, Zhongxing town governs 39 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 102 industrial enterprises in Zhongxing Town, including 10 industrial enterprises above Designated Size and 102 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Pingcheng nunnery in Zhongxing town is the former site of Pingle County in the Western Han Dynasty. In the early Western Han Dynasty, Pingle county was established here, belonging to the state of Liang. According to Taiping Huanyu Ji, Pingle is located in 40 Li East of Shanfu. The stone tablets of song, yuan and Ming Dynasties are all said to be 40 Li to the east of Danzhou City. According to textual research, the former site of Pingle is Pingcheng nunnery. Pingle County belonged to Shanyang state in the sixth year of the Western Han Dynasty (144 BC). The fifth year of Jianyuan (136bc) belongs to Shanyang County, and the fourth year of Tianhan (97bc) belongs to Changyi state. In the first year of Jianzhao (38 BC), Liu Qian, the son of King Jing of Liang Dynasty, was granted the title of Marquis of Pingle, and Pingle County became the Marquis state. Liu Qian built a city in today's Pingcheng nunnery, which was called Pingcheng. In the early years of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Emperor Guangwu withdrew Pingle county and set up a garrison there. Later, it was assigned to the single father. During the Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, there was a Taoist temple (Qing Dynasty) in Pingcheng, which was famous for its strong fragrance. People used to call this Taoist temple "Pingcheng nunnery", and gradually "Pingcheng nunnery" became the title of the whole Pingcheng. There are more than 70 old temples in Pingcheng nunnery. According to the inscriptions of the Ming Dynasty, the old temple covers an area of more than three hectares. It was rebuilt in song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is resplendent and magnificent. The 1940s were still beautiful. In 1957, the temple was demolished, and now there is only one abandoned well left.

Famous people

Empress Lu is a pheasant with the name "e" and it is said in historical records. When LV Zhichu married Liu Bang, she led her children in farming and mulberry knitting. Liu Bang led the uprising, and LV Zhi was put into prison by the government. After he got out of prison, he joined the army with Liu Bang. After Liu Bang became emperor, he made LV Zhi queen. In memory of her, Lu's descendants built the empress Lu Temple and the Lugu temple in Panzhuang. In the 1930s, there was also lvbi temple in the village. In the west of the temple, there was the abandoned site of Lvgu village. Today, only one monument of lvhou is left. Zhongxing town made full use of the cultural resources of empress Lu's hometown, rebuilt her family temple and Lugu temple, rebuilt her statue and restored her monument.
