Longquan Township
Longquan Township is located in the southern end of Yuzhong County, with a total area of 84 square kilometers and an average altitude of 2160 meters. The terrain is mainly hilly and gully. It belongs to temperate semi-arid monsoon climate, with annual rainfall of 400mm, average annual temperature of 5.5 ℃ and frost free period of 120 days. It has jurisdiction over 12 villages and 76 communities with a total population of 9441 (2017).
Sociology
the cultivated land of the township is 48784 mu, with a per capita net income of 1600 yuan in 2005. Longhai Railway and Gaoya Neiguan highway pass through the territory, and all the 12 villages in the township are connected with electricity, post, access and telephone. There is a health center with 6 doctors and 10 beds. In addition, each village has standardized health centers with better hardware facilities and complete staffing. There are 1 junior high school and 11 primary schools (including 8 primary schools). There are 1517 students and 90 teachers. Township enterprises involve building materials, processing, transportation and other industries. Agricultural production of wheat, flax, peas, specialty alfalfa, garlic, potato, lily, herbs. There is a tourist attraction Longquan Temple integrating Taoist culture and natural scenery.
