Wendian town belongs to Yangxin County, Binzhou City, Shandong Province. It is located in the north end of the Yellow River Delta Development Zone. Wendian township was established in 1956; Wendian people's commune was established in 1958; Wendian district was established in 1964; Wendian commune was renamed in 1970; Wendian town was established in 1984. History of construction
In 1945, it was divided into six districts. At the end of 1949, it was renamed nine districts. In February 1956, Wendian township was changed to Wendian village, which got its name because the government was located in Wendian village. In April 1958, Wendian people's commune was established. In May 1964, Wendian district was set up. In 1970, it was renamed Wendian commune. In 1984, Wendian people's commune was abolished and Wendian town was established.

Wendian town is located in the west of Yangxin County, between 117 degrees 15 to 117 degrees 52 east longitude and 37 degrees 26 to 37 degrees 43 north latitude.
