Beixin Township

Beixin township is located in the northwest of Linyi County, to the west of daga mountain in Emei platform, to the south of Danzi Township, to the west of Sunji Town, to the north of Wanrong County, and to the east of Zhuoli and yanjiazhuang township. It has a warm temperate semi humid and semi-arid monsoon climate with four distinct seasons, an average annual temperature of 13.6 ℃, a frost free period of 217 days, and an average annual rainfall of 495.2 mm. Large temperature difference, sufficient light, hilly area. It is 10 kilometers wide from east to west and 6.5 kilometers long from north to south, with a total area of 75 square kilometers and a cultivated land area of 103228 mu. The township is mainly agricultural and abounds in apples, of which the area of apples is 70000 mu. The annual output of apple is 250 million kg, and the pollution-free apple is 100 million kg.

After liberation, Beixin Township, Danzi Township and Zhuoli Township were all under the jurisdiction of the third district, and were collectively referred to as Weixing people's commune in 1958. In 1960, the original satellite commune was divided into three communes, Beixin, Zhuoli and Danzi, according to the terrain and village layout. In August 1984, it was changed into a township government.

At present, there are 25 administrative villages, 128 resident groups and 30773 permanent residents in the township (2017).
