Daimiao town is located on the West Bank of Dongping Lake and the Bank of the Yellow River. National Highway 220 runs through the north and south. The town has a population of 42000. According to records, during the Hongwu Period of the Ming Dynasty, the surname Dai built a village here and built a temple beside the village, hence the name Dai Temple.
