Liuyuan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Yicheng District, Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province, is located in the west of Yicheng District, adjacent to Tanshan street in the East, Yinping town in the south, Xuecheng District in the west, Yongan Town, Shizhong District, Zaozhuang City in the north, with a total administrative area of 122.96 square kilometers.
In 1949, it was HaoGou Township, the first district of she County; in September 2001, it was withdrawn from the township and set up Liuyuan town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in the town was 61552. As of June 2020, the town has 53 administrative villages.

History of construction
In 1949, it was HaoGou Township, the first district of she county.
In 1956, it belonged to Yicheng District of she county and was changed into Wangzhuang township.
In March 1958, it belonged to tulouhe township of Yi County; in September of the same year, it belonged to Chengguan commune of Yi County, which was the management area of Wangzhuang.
In 1962, Wangzhuang commune was established, belonging to Yicheng District.
In 1984, it was changed to Wangzhuang township.
In March 2001, townships were merged and Tangyin township was merged.
In September 2001, Liuyuan town was established.
