At the mouth of xiaoqianjiang River in Beilun District, south of Lishan, facing the sea. In 1880, it was built with Santai clay, with a concave plane shape, 52.6 meters long, 9 meters wide, 4.8 meters high, and five blastholes. It played an important role in the Zhenhai battle of the Sino French war. In December 1989, it was listed as one of zhenhaikou coastal defense sites.
Zhenyuan battery
Ningbo Zhenyuan battery is located in the south of Lishan, which is the entrance of xiaojiajiang River to Haikou, qijiashan street, Beilun District, Ningbo City. It was built in 1880. Santai was rammed with soil, with a concave plane, 52.6 meters long, 9 meters wide and 4.8 meters high. It was originally equipped with 5 blastholes and 11 barracks. In 1884, one 80 pound front bore gun and two 46 pound front bore guns were set up.
Humen Zhenyuan fort was built in the 20th year of Jiaqing (1815 A.D.) with 40 gun positions, 40 enlarged small iron cannons, as well as rooms, Shentang, pharmacy Bureau, military room, etc.
Ningbo
There are 2 British local guns, 2 Krupp 12cm breech guns and 1 Krupp 17cm breech gun. In 1936, one Krupp 21 cm breech gun was moved from Pingyuan fort. In 2007, the base of the fort was moved to the old site of Weidou primary school for collection. At present, the fort is seriously damaged, most of the fort walls have collapsed, and the two sanhetu barracks on the northwest side are relatively complete. In November 1996, as a part of zhenhaikou coastal defense site, it was announced as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council.
Humen
Zhenyuan fort was built in 1815, with 40 gun positions, 40 enlarged small iron cannons, as well as rooms, Shentang, pharmacy and military rooms. The station, Weiyuan fort and Jingyuan fort are called "Sanyuan fort". The open-air positions of the existing Zhenyuan fort are connected by secret passages.
