Tonglin Township

Tonglin township is located in the southeast border of Xiajiang County, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province. The highway mileage between Tonglin Township and Shuibian town is 15 kilometers. It is named after Tonglin village, where the township government is located. The northeast is connected with Xingan County, the South with the southeast and Yongfeng, and the West and North with Mabu town. The township covers an area of 96.05 square kilometers and has jurisdiction over five villagers' committees in Tonglin, Miaokou, Zhangjia, Changtian and Liuyuan, with a permanent resident population of 7194 (2017). The main industrial enterprises include Xiajiang Yutai plywood Co., Ltd. and Hengxing Zhugang art factory. The local characteristic products mainly include profiled plywood, bamboo crafts, etc. The area of cultivated land is 1243 hectares. The traffic condition is good, and the water (side) flow (source) line runs through the whole territory.

Brief introduction of villages and towns

Tonglin township is located in the southeast border of Xiajiang county. The township government is located in Tonglin village, 15 kilometers away from Shuibian town. It is connected with Xingan County in the northeast, Yongfeng County in the southeast and south, Mabu town in the West and North. With a total area of 96.05 square kilometers, it has five administrative villages and 52 villager groups, and has jurisdiction over 44 natural villages with a permanent population of 7194 people (in 2017). There are residents from nine provinces: Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangdong, Henan, Anhui, Guizhou, Jiangsu, Guangxi and Zhejiang.

In the East, South and north of the territory, there are mountains with continuous peaks and hills in the west, with an altitude of more than 150 meters. The above ground runoff mainly includes Ganyuan stream and Tonglin stream. The main peaks are Jinhua mountain (608 m), Dabi mountain (512 M), Taishan Mountain (598 m), loushakeng mountain (512 M), Xianhua mountain (502.8 m), etc. The forest area is 110500 mu, and the water area is 960 mu. Underground resources mainly include lead-zinc mine, gold mine, granite and so on.

There are 19640 mu of cultivated land, including 18828 mu of paddy field and 812 mu of dry land. The cultivated layer of farmland soil is thick and the potential fertility is high. However, high groundwater level, more cold water fields, shorter sunshine and 2-3 ℃ lower temperature have certain effects on the growth of early rice, but they are conducive to one night and forest growth.

There are a small (1) reservoir in Xiali, 7 small (2) reservoirs, 36 mountain ponds and 38 water diversion projects. 3528 people in 786 households have access to tap water. There are 460 households with biogas digesters in the township.

It is rich in tea oil, especially in Changtian and Liuyuan. Moso bamboo is mainly produced in Liuyuan and Miaokou. The output of Lentinus edodes ranks first in the county, with an annual output of 18 tons.

There are 5 satellite receiving turntables, cable TV and program-controlled telephone installed in every village, with a penetration rate of 90.2%. Tonglin health center was newly built, with 2 out-patient clinics and 6 village run medical clinics.

Tonglin township has some immigrants, mostly from Hunan Province and Guizhou Province, mainly distributed in Xiaao village, Taishan village, Xiali village, Longshang village and other villages.

There are 1 junior middle school, 380 students, 22 teachers, 5 primary schools, 782 students, 44 teachers and 3 kindergartens.

In 2003, it invested 450000 yuan to build a new student apartment in Tonglin middle school;

In 2005, 150000 yuan was invested to rebuild the playground of Tonglin middle school.

In 2005, it invested 50000 yuan to renovate the teaching building of Zhangjia primary school; Xu Mingzhi, President of Shanghai educated youth Donghua University, raised 250000 yuan to build a new teaching building of Liuyuan primary school;

It has been put into use since February 2006; Beijing North network company donated 150000 yuan to build a new Miaokou hope primary school, which has been put into use since May 2006.

Water (edge) flow (source) road across the whole territory, there are daily passenger traffic, all villages are connected to the road. In October 2004, the reconstruction of Shuibian Tonglin asphalt road was successfully completed and opened to traffic. The reconstruction of Tonglin Liuyuan highway has been completed. In the past two years, Tonglin township has raised more than 2 million yuan to build 12 cement roads, 26 kilometers in total, and 16 kilometers of gravel roads. The traffic situation has improved significantly.
