Houyao town

Houyao Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Changtu County, Tieling City, Liaoning Province, is located in the west of Changtu County, across the Liaohe River from Kangping County, Shenyang City, with an administrative area of 89 square kilometers.

In 1961, houyao commune was set up from Jin family; in 1984, houyao township was changed. In 2013, houyao township was removed from the township and built into a town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of the town was 16907. As of June 2020, houyao town has 11 administrative villages.

In 2011, the total financial revenue of houyao town was 40 million yuan. Among them, the national tax revenue is 550000 yuan, the local tax revenue is 2 million yuan, and the non tax revenue is 1.45 million yuan. In 2018, houyao town has 4 industrial enterprises and 5 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

History and culture
