Every year from the first day to the third day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar, there is a three-day "Chaohua" activity. In advance, the influential people in each village organized a series of activities to call on the participants to raise money (generally 50 yuan for the big head and 30 yuan for the small head, depending on the money). At that time, the people gathered and chartered a car to go to the huangwuqian pilgrimage in the capital. All the way, there was a lot of music and firecrackers. After the pilgrimage, they carried the Bodhisattva and returned, held a fasting banquet, and then went home. During the pilgrimage, every peasant household who wrote incense money must fast for 3-10 days. This activity was forbidden during the "Cultural Revolution" and resumed after the "Cultural Revolution".
The dragon and snake lantern originated in the magical legend of the early Ming Dynasty. On the night of the Lantern Festival in the first month, the lantern team travels in the villages and fields, which is famous at home and abroad.
