Guhou Township

Guhou Township, belonging to Ningdu County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the southeast of Ningdu County, adjacent to Tianbu Township in the East, Gucun town in the south, Changsheng town in the West and Meijiang town in the north. The township covers an area of 141.2 square kilometers, under the jurisdiction of a community and 17 administrative villages. In late 2018, the registered residence population in Gu Hou township was 31 thousand and 600.

There are Yingrui expressway, g356 National Road, Shiji Expressway and the war preparation Expressway leading to Fujian in guhou township. Xingquan railway passes through guhou Township, which is the transportation hub in the southeast of Ningdu.

Historical evolution

As early as the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there was an administrative organization in guhou; before the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was changed into guhou Township, belonging to the eighth District of Ningdu county.

In 1958, the district was withdrawn and merged into guhou commune; in 1961, it was established as guhou district; in March 1963, it was withdrawn and merged into guhou commune; in June 1984, it was changed into guhou township.
