Historical evolution

In the early years of the Republic of China, it belonged to Chongxian Township, Xiaojiang District, Xinfeng County; in August 1942, it belonged to the Fourth District of Qiannan County; in 1948, it belonged to Jiangkou Township, Qiannan county.

After the founding of the people's Republic of China, longxia Township belonged to the third district; in 1956, it belonged to shejing township; in October 1958, it belonged to the third branch of Bayi reclamation farm; in January 1959, it was changed into longxia people's commune; in 1984, it was changed into longxia Township under the system of township and village.
