Bamiantong town
Bamiantong town is subordinate to Muling City, a county-level city under the administration of Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province. It is located in the hinterland of the golden triangle of Mudanjiang, Jixi and Suifenhe, adjacent to Russia. The town has a total area of 190 square kilometers (2017), 14 administrative villages, 18 natural villages, a total population of 62919 people (2017), and cultivated land area of 106500 mu. There are nine ethnic groups in the area, including Han, man, Hui, Yao, Zhuang, Korean, Mongolian and Uygur.
Bamiantong town is the seat of Muling municipal Party committee and government. It integrates politics, economy (industry, commerce, finance, trade), transportation (railway, highway, post, communication hub) and culture (culture, education, sports, health) in the town. It gathers agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, sideline and fishery in the suburbs. It is the political, economic, transportation and cultural center of the whole city.

There are many mountainous rivers in Muling City. Muling River runs through north and south, with 1323 rivers and gullies. Muling River system accounts for 95.2% of the city's water system, and the rest 4.8% belongs to Mudanjiang River system. There are two tributaries of Qinghe River and Liangzi River in the area. The total water resources of the city is 1.294 billion cubic meters. There is a large reservoir (Tuanjie reservoir) mainly for flood control, irrigation, power generation and fish culture, and a small type I reservoir (Qinghe Reservoir) mainly for flood control and irrigation.

The vast forest is home to Korean pine, cedar, Mongolian pine, spruce, yellow pineapple, Juglans mandshurica, Fraxinus mandshurica, oak birch and other valuable timber, with a total volume of 220 million cubic meters. Muling City has many "treasures", including hundreds of Chinese medicinal materials such as ginseng, astragalus, acanthopanax senticosus, Platycodon grandiflorum, and mountain precious products such as Auricularia auricula, yuan mushroom, Hericium erinaceus, Tricholoma matsutake, and Pteridium aquilinum, with an annual output of more than 5000 tons.
