Hongjiugong
It's a very small village, but it has very rich cultural resources. In history, the eminent monk zhitanaso Rinpoche went to hongjiugong via Jinsha River. It is said that no bridge was built on the Jinsha River at that time, so it was necessary to use kayak or wooden boat to cross the bank. At that time, the local people didn't know the identity of the monk, so they didn't take him across the river. Zhitanaso Rinpoche was very angry. He immediately took off his cassock and rowed with his wooden bowl. He successfully rowed to the shore, so the local villagers knelt down to praise the great virtue monk for his extraordinary wisdom and courage. Later, when he passed Zigong village, an old woman was preparing to cook porridge. She invited him to have a bowl there. After drinking the bowl of porridge, he prayed for a good harvest of wheat from Lingong every year. Up to now, the wheat from Lingong is also abundant every year. Before the name of hongjiugong existed, he saw several women bending grass in the village. "What are you doing?" he asked The women replied, "here we bend the grass.". He asked three times, and they answered "Hongjiu", which made him very disappointed. Because he wanted those women to say "Zajiu" instead of "Hongjiu". In Tibetan, "Zajiu" and "Hongjiu" mean very similar. The grass on the mountain is called "Za", while the grass in the field is called "Hong". If they say "we have been here for a long time", he wants to develop it into "zanizhi" or "zanshengshan". Later he called the place hongjiugong and built a temple there. After the death of zhitanaso Rinpoche, his body remained in the temple. Now people from all directions are going there to worship.
Danggu Temple
It is located in Ji / Jili village, Zhubalong Township, Batang County. About 4km away from Kili village, Danggu temple, an ancient temple, is located on the mountain with an altitude of more than 2700m. It has a very peculiar shape, which is very similar to the appearance of Mirs flying. Danggu means bear head in Tibetan. Because the terrain is like a bear's head, the local people call it Danggu. According to folk legend, Danggu temple was built in 1691 and has a history of more than 320 years. It was founded by Danggu Lama CIREN Wujin, who was also a great monk with profound practice in history. It is said that when he passed away, he left nothing behind and went to the Western Paradise - Shambhala. Today, the temple is in a state of decline due to neglect, and the walls collapse, but the walnut trees he planted are still there. The temple should be protected and rebuilt as soon as possible.
