Zhengang Township

Zhengang Township, belonging to Anyuan County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located 20 kilometers south of Anyuan County. It is connected to the national scenic area of 300 mountains in the East, the exit of 300 mountains of Nantong Ningding expressway, Jiulong Mountain, the hometown of Gannan Tea Picking Opera in the west, and Anyuan County in the north. An Xun line, an Ding line and Ning Ding Expressway pass through the area. As of February 2019, Zhengang township has a land area of 115 square kilometers, including 138934 mu of mountainous area, 7189 mu of cultivated land and 28048 mu of orchard. It has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages including Luoshan, laitang, Yongshui, Huangdong, Fuchang, laowei, Long'an, Zhangxi, Zhengang and Gaofeng, 87 villager groups, 3852 households and a population of 15570.

An Yuandong Shengwei scenic spot in Zhengang Township became a national 4A scenic spot in December 2017.

There are 10 village committees and 70 villager groups in Zhengang, Gaofeng, Huangdong, Luoshan, Yongshui, laitang, Fuchang, Long'an, Zhangxi and laowei; there are 48 natural villages with 2131 households and 13277 people (2010). Township People's government is located in zhengangwei, 20 kilometers away from Xinshan town.

There are political stability, social stability and people's prosperity in Zhengang. Fruit industry, watermelon, pig and Ganoderma lucidum are the four leading industries in Zhengang. The township has an area of 28048 mu of navel orange, with a per capita net income of more than 5000 yuan. It is rich in mineral resources, including molybdenum, iron ore and porcelain clay. Social undertakings are developing rapidly and coordinately, and the basic implementation is improving day by day. Preferential investment policies and investment promotion have achieved remarkable results. With rich tourism resources, strong development momentum and profound cultural heritage, it is one of the birthplaces of Gannan Tea Picking Opera. The characteristics of Party building and village building are obvious, the achievements of new rural construction are remarkable, and farmers live and work in peace and contentment.

Township Reform

historical event

On July 7, 1933, the seat of the Soviet government in Zhengang township was surrounded by the KMT's 44th division oppressing the Western regiment. On August 14 of the same year, Zun Sanwei was broken; on August 16, 143 red guards and revolutionary masses were killed.

Scenic Spots and Historical Sites

Chigangling site, a late Neolithic site, is located in chigangling, north of zhengangwei. Bantiantang has the Ming Dynasty ancient porcelain kiln site.

Transportation

Gaofeng village is rich in porcelain clay resources. An (far) Ding (South) highway through the countryside, every village road, convenient transportation.

Honors

On July 29, 2020, it was named as the National Health township (county) of 2017-2019 cycle by the National Patriotic Health Campaign Committee.
