Zhufang Township

Zhufang Township, subordinate to Nankang District, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the middle of Nankang District, adjacent to Taiwo Township and Jingba town in the East, Rongjiang street and hengzhai Township in the south, longgou township of Chongyi county and Huangbu town of Shangyou County in the west, Longhua Township and Tangjiang town in the north. With a total area of 99 square kilometers, Zhufang Township governs 15 administrative villages, 325 villager groups and 1 community. In late 2018, Zhu had a registered residence population of 41 thousand and 400.

Historical evolution

In the third year of Daoguang (1823) of the Qing Dynasty, Zhufang was subordinate to buliguloubao, the head of Nankang County; at the end of the Qing Dynasty, it prepared for autonomy, which was called the western district.

In 1936, the western district was renamed as five districts; in 1946, the district office was renamed as the District Office; on the eve of liberation, it belonged to Jisheng township.

In 1958, Jisheng commune was established; in 1961, Jisheng commune was divided into Zhufang commune and Qiaotou commune; in 1963, Zhufang commune and Qiaotou commune were merged into Zhufang commune; in June 1984, Zhufang people's commune was changed into Zhufang township.

The origin of place names

During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1522-1566), the Zhu family set up a workshop here, called Zhufang. It is also a port of thirty Li, so it is called zhufangbu. The annals of Nankang county records that "zhufangbu leads to Shangyou in Hetian, northwest of the county.".

Located in Xinmin village, gulouai was built in 1858 and rebuilt in August 2016. It is named after the military pass in ancient times. The building is more than three Zhang high, with exquisite architecture. The highest floor is the watchtower.

Zhufang township has tianxinyan, fairy mirror, mouse mouth and other tourist attractions. Tianxinyan is located about 1.5km southwest of zhufangwei. The top of the mountain is like a lion, also known as Shiling mountain. There is a cave on the hillside, which can hold more than 80 people.
