Shuangzhong town is the Chengguan town of Hukou County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. Hukou county is the seat of the CPC Hukou County Committee and Hukou County People's government. It is the political, economic, financial, commercial, educational and transportation center of the whole county. It is only one bridge away from Jiujiang City.

Shuangzhong town has a long cultural history of more than 2000 years. It is recorded in the records of Shizhong mountain by Su Shi. It is the former site of Wuyang town in the early Han Dynasty in the southwest. Hukou town was set up here in the Southern Song Dynasty. Hukou town was set up in the fifth year of Wude in the Tang Dynasty. Hukou town inspection department was set up in the Ming Dynasty. Hukou town was set up in the Qing Dynasty. Fuyang town was set up in the 15th year of Emperor Wen in the Han Dynasty Fuyang Town, the predecessor of shuangzhong Town, began to be called shuangzhong town in 1935 and continues to this day.

Qujiu railway, Tongjiu railway, g56 hangrui expressway, S20 Penghu expressway, g351 national highway and g530 national highway pass through the town.

Shuangzhong town has beautiful scenery and many scenic spots. Su Shi once left an immortal masterpiece "Shizhong mountain". Shizhong mountain is a national 5A scenic spot, and shoshan mountain is a national 4A scenic spot. As an integral part of Lushan scenic spot, it has been listed in the world cultural heritage list by UNESCO.

Town history

Shuangzhong town is located in the north of Jiangxi Province, in the east of Jiujiang City, at the intersection of the Yangtze River and Poyang Lake. It is adjacent to the Yangtze River in the north and Poyang Lake estuary in the West. It is named for its upper and lower Shizhong mountain. According to Su Shi's records of Shizhong mountain, it is located in the southwest of the former site of Wuyang town in the early Han Dynasty, where Hukou garrison was set up in the Song Dynasty, Hukou town was set up in the fifth year of Wude in the Tang Dynasty, Hukou town inspection department in the Ming Dynasty, and Hukou town inspection department in the Qing Dynasty The Yangtze River is located in Hukou Town, shuangzhong Town, which began in 1935.

In December 2001, according to the township institutional reform plan issued by Hukou county Party committee and government, the original Sanli township was integrated into shuangzhong town. With a total area of 34.6 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 11 community neighborhood committees (including 4 old urban community neighborhood committees, 1 Military Enterprise Management Committee transferred to local community neighborhood committees, 6 new urban agriculture related community neighborhood committees), 4 administrative villages and 101 natural villages. The total number of households is 20145, with a total population of 71854 (including 66115 urban permanent residents and 5739 agricultural residents), and 6495 floating population. The cultivated land is 539.3 ha (8090 mu), the forest is 591.3 ha (8869.5 mu), the water surface is 146.7 ha (2200 mu), the sand mountain is 100 ha (1500 mu), and the barren mountain is 26.2 ha (393 mu). It is a provincial health town, the town where the national scenic spot (Shizhong mountain) is located, and a national historical and cultural town.

Attachment: Sanli township is located in the southeast suburb of Hukou County, 1.5km away from the county. Sanli commune was established in 1958 and changed to township in 1984. In 1997, with an area of 22 square kilometers and a population of 11000, it has jurisdiction over 8 administrative villages, namely Sanli, Wuqiao, Shengli, Baishu, Taishan, Yueyue, Qunsheng and Honghu. The county belongs to Nanbei harbor fishery farm and is located in the territory.
