Yangfeng Township
Yangfeng township is a township under the jurisdiction of Duchang County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, located in the middle of Duchang County.
Historical evolution
There is Yangchu peak in the north of the territory. At the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it took two words as the name of the township. During 1942-1945, Duchang County government once moved to Lujia, and Xingzi County government once moved to yangzhoushan village. Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Shanhu Township, a lakeside district. At the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to the eighth district. In 1956, it belonged to Sancha harbor area. In 1958, it belonged to Sanchagang commune. In 1962, Yangfeng commune was established and merged into Sanchagang commune in 1968. In 1973, Yangfeng commune was restored, and it was transferred from Dasha commune to Zhulin brigade. In 1984, the township was changed. In 1997, it covered an area of 46.8 square kilometers and had a population of 26000. The township government is stationed in Lujia.

Yangchu peak, a famous Yangchu mountain range in the north of the country, has been used since the founding of the people's Republic of China. The township is adjacent to Sanchagang town in the East, Dasha town in the south, wangdun Township and Dashu Township in the west, Tutang town in the north and Poyang Lake in the south, with a total area of 49.38 square kilometers. It governs 10 village committees, 106 natural villages and 133 village groups. The township has a total of 29862 people (2017), all of whom are Han nationality. The transportation of Yangfeng township is convenient, and the township government is 24 kilometers away from Duchang County in the West 19748 mu (including 15516 mu of paddy field and 4232 mu of dry land), 38980 mu of mountain forest and 4030 mu of water surface. The terrain is low in the East and high in the west, forming three long and narrow ridges with an average altitude of 42m and the highest Yangchu peak at 463.4m. Yangfeng township is characterized by green mountains, beautiful waters, outstanding people, and a pleasant climate.

Economic overview
Farmers in Yangfeng Township mainly use rice, cotton and rape as agricultural cash crops. There are abundant deposits of porcelain clay mine and tungsten molybdenum mine in Yangfeng township. It is a famous "tribute garlic town" - Yangfeng Purple Garlic. Purple Garlic is a tribute of all dynasties. It has the functions of anti-cancer, sterilization, disinfection, spleen strengthening and blood activating. During the growth period, Purple Garlic is the only crop that has not been damaged by diseases and insect pests. It has natural antibiotics in its body. And the climate of growth is very strange, only the dense fog in the mountain stream can protect the humid air and acid red soil to adapt to its growth. The planting area of Yangfeng Purple Garlic is more than 3000 mu, the yield of garlic seeds per mu is 1200 Jin, and the highest yield is 1800 Jin. Garlic oil is the best condiment; garlic sauce is a national famous food. All provinces in the south of the Yangtze River like to use purple garlic as seed. In spring, a large number of garlic sprouts appeared on the market and sold widely. Urban and rural residents like to fry meat with garlic sprouts. The construction industry is well-known throughout the county and even the whole province, known as the "hometown of architecture".
