Runya Township

Runya township is located in the northeast border of Yongshun County, adjacent to Wentang town and luotaping Township in Zhangjiajie. The total land area of the township is 90.38 square kilometers (in 2017), about 2.3% of the total area of Yongshun County. The population is 5714 (in 2017), of which the Tujia nationality accounts for 76.3%, and the Miao nationality accounts for 23.7%. There are 6 administrative villages and 66 villager groups in the township. All villages are connected with village level roads. The township road is connected with Yongda highway in Shidi town. In 2011, the per capita net income reached more than 1500 yuan. It is a typical frontier Township integrating the old, the young, the border and the poor. Runya township has steep terrain, rolling mountains, rivers and terraces. Villages are mainly distributed on both sides of rivers and rivers. It is close to mountains and rivers, and the Li River flows through the northwest. It has a subtropical warm and humid monsoon climate, warm and humid, four distinct seasons, hot and rainy seasons, long frost free period, no severe cold in winter and no severe heat in summer, which provides good natural conditions for the growth of animals and plants.

Brief introduction of runya Township

Runya township is located in the northeast border of Yongshun County, about 63 kilometers away from Yongshun County. It is adjacent to Qingping town in the East, Shidi town in the west, Wentang town in Yongding District of Zhangjiajie City and luotaping town in Sangzhi County in the north. It is bounded by Lishui River and faces each other across the river. The terrain of the township is mainly mountainous. The main peak of sifangjie (Siming Mountain) is 1093.9 meters above sea level, which is the seventh peak of Yongshun County. The township has six administrative villages, namely Wuguan (the former qijiaoping village merged with Wuguan Village), Fengming, runya, Kexi, Shuke and Mayang. The administrative area is 90.38 square kilometers (2017), which is about 2.3% of the total area of Yongshun County. Runya township is mainly agricultural, with 8698 mu of cultivated land, including 6464 mu of paddy field. The per capita net income of farmers is 1670 yuan, an increase of 51 yuan over the previous year. 5714 people (in 2017), with a birth rate of 13 ‰ in 2013, of which Tujia accounted for 76.3% and Miao accounted for 23.7%. It is a typical mixed village of Tujia and Miao, as well as a frontier township of Xiangxi Prefecture and Yongshun County.

Runya township has a long history. In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, our county still used the rural insurance system in the period of the Republic of China. The original runya township was divided into five townships, namely runya Township, Dazhuang Township and Mayang Township, which were under the jurisdiction of neilongbao. In April 1950, runya township was put under the jurisdiction of Shidi district. In May 1951, due to the abolition of Baojia County, runya Township belongs to the Fifth District (Shidi West). In 1961, the system was adjusted, and runya commune was set up in runya Township, with nine teams under the jurisdiction of Chexi (Zexi), where the social organs are located. In April 1984, the rural grassroots system was reformed, with the separation of government and society, and the system of community changing into Township. Nine administrative villages in runya Township were changed into runya township. In November 2005, due to the adjustment of administrative divisions, nine administrative villages in runya Township were merged into seven administrative villages, namely Wuguan, Fengming, runya (former runya village merged with Yunnan village), Kexi (former Kexi village merged with old village), Shuke, Mayang and Qijiao. In 2016, the zoning was adjusted again. Runya township is rich in resources, including 90000 mu of forest and animal husbandry land, 10.2 mu per capita; 52000 mu of forest land, 123000 cubic meters of live cubic meters, 14 cubic meters per capita; Shatian pomelo and chestnut are planted in large quantities, with high quality; Yunwu Tea and Fengming village's specialty, berry tea, also have a certain scale; the township is rich in hydropower resources, and the installed capacity of Hexin power station is 400KW; The huolongshan hot spring in Mayang is a good source of mineral resources with large reserves. With beautiful scenery, well preserved folk customs and unique cultural tourism resources, the village used to be the main location of the film border town.

Abundant resources

Runya township is rich in natural resources, with 8698 mu of cultivated land, 0.98 mu per capita; 90000 mu of forest and animal husbandry land, 10.2 mu per capita. There are 52000 mu of forest land, 123000 cubic meters of standing trees, 14 cubic meters per capita. The main trees are pine, fir and cypress. There is a Township Forest Farm, covering an area of 10000 mu. In addition, Fengming's moldy tea is well-known. There are 8 rivers in the township, which are rich in water resources. The installed capacity of Hexin power station in our township is 400KW. At present, the second phase expansion project has signed the relevant project contract with the State Water Conservancy Bureau. It is estimated that the project investment is more than 50 million yuan. There are also high-quality mineral water with large reserves and good quality. It contains 13 kinds of trace elements needed by human body, which belongs to high-quality mineral water .

Runya township is rich in tourism resources. Only by using the tourism resources radiated by Zhangjiajie MaoYan river rafting, the villagers of Mayang village can obtain greater economic benefits. In addition, the tourism resources of Huolong mountain, especially Mayang hot spring, can be developed. Now it is fully open, sifanggai (mountain) tourism resources and Tujia style tourism along Lishui River in Mayang village.

Economic situation

In 2012, the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery in runya township was more than 20 million yuan, and the total output of grain crops was 3525 tons, including 2594 tons of grain, 80.5 tons of fruit, 2.2 tons of moldy tea and 8.3 tons of aquatic products. Due to the inconvenient transportation, geographical environment, regional economy and other factors, runya township is still dominated by traditional farming, without the formation of pillar industries, and its productivity is relatively backward.
