Qingyunpu town

Qingyunpu town belongs to Qingyunpu District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It is located in the South Gate of Nanchang City, adjacent to Luojia Town, Nanchang County and Taohua town. It is named after the scenic spot and historic site "Qingyun Pu Taoist temple".

Qingyunpu town covers an area of 19.53 square kilometers, with 12 administrative villages and 1 Community under its jurisdiction. The resident population was 53171 (2017).

On January 9, 2019, Qingyunpu town was selected into the list of "hometown of Chinese folk culture and art" in 2018-2020 with the help of lights. In October 2019, it was selected as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2019".

Historical evolution

Qingyunpu commune was established in 1958, merged into Hufang commune in 1969, reestablished in 1970, and changed to township in 1984. In 1997, it had an area of 20 square kilometers and a population of 17000. On January 5, 1998, Qingyun Pu Township (excluding xinjia'an and lengshang administrative villages) and Qingyun Pu farm in the suburb of Nanchang City were classified as Qingyun Pu District; xinjia'an and lengshang administrative villages were classified as Hufang Township in the suburb; Qianwan and Shima administrative villages in Daishan street were classified as Qingyun Pu Township. On August 8, 2002, Qingyunpu township was abolished and Qingyunpu town was established (reply No. 181 of ganmin Zi). In 2004, lingshang, Taihe and Zhongxin villages in Hufang town of Qingshanhu district were put under the jurisdiction of Qingyun district. After the adjustment, Qingyunpu town has jurisdiction over 12 villages including Sandian, xiongfang, Shima, Qianwan, Wanxi, Huangxi, Chengnan, Shiyao, Xiayao, Taihe, Xinxin, lengshang and Honghui neighborhood committee.
