Guangrunmen Street

Guangrunmen street belongs to Xihu District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, on the East Bank of Fuhe River. Zhongshan Road, Ruzi Road, Yanjiang Avenue and Chuanshan road run through the territory. In September 2002, it was composed of the former Guangwai street and a part of wazijiao street.

Guangrunmen Street covers an area of 0.57 square kilometers, with 37608 people (in 2010). It governs chimney lane, Zhichong lane, huiminmen and other communities. There are 33 resident enterprises and institutions, 1200 commercial outlets and 123 community service outlets.

Historical evolution

Guangrunmen Street administrative office was established in 1949, guangrunmen street in 1954, Guangwai commune in 1960 and Guangwai street in 1979. In 1997, it covers an area of 0.31 square kilometers and has a population of 30000. It has jurisdiction over 14 neighborhood committees including Cuihua street, contract lane, Qiaobu street, guangrunmen, Yantong lane, Shanghe street, maozhujia, Guoguo street, Jiulang lane, shuihuatao, qianbaduan, Xiangping lane, Zhichong lane and Xiawan street. The office is located at No. 657 Chuanshan road.

Wazijiao street is located in downtown area, Zhongshan Road, Ruzi road and Xiangshan South Road crisscross the territory. August 1 Nanchang Uprising Memorial Hall in the territory of Zhongshan Road. In 1949, it was the administrative office of wazijiao street. In 1954, it was established as wazijiao street. In 1960, it was called wazijiao commune. In 1979, it was renamed wazijiao street. In 1997, it covers an area of 0.3 square kilometers and has a population of 19000. It has jurisdiction over 16 neighborhood committees, including zhuojie street, Qingping lane, Gaoqiao lane, fangjingtou, Yijia lane, Baiyi'an, Daidai lane, wazijiao, yanjiajing, Douchi lane, zhangjiaci, Yangxing lane, majiayuan lane, Xishang Yuting, lookout tower and xiatangchengshang. The office is located at No.2 Daidai lane.
