Dajing town

Dajing town is the east gate of Huize County, 81 kilometers away from the county. It is located at the junction of Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, two counties and one city. National Highway 326 and provincial highway Changqiao run through 10 village committees. Niulan river flows through seven village committees, with the lowest altitude of 1572 meters and the highest altitude of 2401 meters. It has 17 village committees, covering an area of 253 square kilometers.

Dajing town is a newly built agricultural town in mountainous area, inhabited by Han, Yi, Zhuang and Miao Nationalities. It mainly produces corn and potato, and its economic income mainly comes from flue-cured tobacco, vegetables, animal husbandry, forest and fruit, mining and metallurgy. It is the two bases of flue-cured tobacco and vegetables in Huize County, and has the reputation of "hometown of ten thousand mu vegetables". In 2005, it was named as "Ping'an town" and "flue-cured tobacco production advanced town" by Qujing municipal Party committee and municipal government. Facing the new goal of leapfrog development, the Party committee and government formulated the development goal for the next few years, building a new socialist countryside of "three villages and four modernizations" in 8-10 years, and building Dajing town into an economic, trade, cultural and health center at the junction of Yunnan, Guizhou, two provinces, two counties and one city Central town.
