Dudang Township

Dudang Xiang is located in the west of Cixian County, on the North Bank of Zhanghe River, at the foot of Taihang Mountain. It covers an area of 38.04 square kilometers and has a permanent population of 13781 (2017). There is a pool in the south of the village, where the rainwater is collected and does not dry all the year round. It is like a boat warehouse and vivid. The South circle and the North circle in the village are just like the arches at the head and tail of the ship, which make the ship gorgeous and lifelike. Dudang village is surrounded by mountains and surrounded by dry rivers. It is as famous as a boat. The village has a unique terrain, with overlapping peaks on both sides, mountains connecting each other, open North and south, and fertile fields, which is a natural barrier. Therefore, there have been many war stories in history, and there have been many rumors of fighting among military strategists.

Taizi Village

Taizi village is located in front of Lianhua Mountain in dudang Township, on the North Bank of Qingzhang river. It is a natural village under the jurisdiction of dudang township. Taizi village is a relatively small village in the local area. However, in history, Taizi village is a place for military strategists to fight for, and its strategic position is very important. There have been little-known events and written a glorious and moving chapter.
Taizi village was built in the early Warring States period. At that time, the place where the villagers lived was called Tun, and the place where the officers and soldiers were stationed was called Zhai. Taizi village was a military important place, which was under the jurisdiction of Zhao state in Handan. It was under the command of the king of Zhao state, and the garrison troops were also sent by the king of Zhao.
At that time, the seven countries vied for supremacy and the wars continued, which made the Qin and Zhao countries more intense. One day, the state of Zhao led the army out of Handan to the North Bank of Zhanghe River, trying to cross the Zhanghe River and expand its occupation to the south. Soon after the troops arrived at Taizi village, because the spies broke down, the food and grass in the rear were cut off by the Qin Army, and the troops were trapped in Taizi village.
At the same time, the state of Qin took advantage of the opportunity of Zhao's army leaving the city to invade the capital of Handan, and there was a war between Qin and Zhao in Handan, which resulted in the destruction of the whole army of Zhao. The officers and soldiers stationed in Taizi village immediately led their troops back to Han after hearing this letter. As a result, they were all defeated by the Qin army, and Zhao was lost from then on. During the Three Kingdoms period, the Zhanghe River in the Qing Dynasty was under the jurisdiction of Cao Cao, and Taizi village was also occupied by Cao Jun. Liu Bei's army in Ronghua village, which is close at hand, looks at it and hates it. He has tried to occupy Taizi village for many times, but failed in several battles. But Liu Bei had to ask Zhuge Liang for advice. Before that, Liu Bei also consulted Zhuge Liang about this matter, but Zhuge Liang blocked him back. The reason is that the villages on both sides of the Zhanghe River are under the jurisdiction of Cao Cao. It's God's will that others can't occupy them. Otherwise, they will get into trouble. Therefore, Zhuge Liang doesn't agree with Liu Bei's idea.
Liu Bei thinks that ronghua village and Taizi village are close to each other, just like brothers. How can a single tree become a forest? Therefore, Liu Bei is determined to seize Taizi village.
Zhuge Liang had a good idea of Liu Bei's visit this time. He was afraid that he would be annoyed by Liu Bei and had to comply. After observing the celestial phenomena, Zhuge Liang said that now that the seven stars are together, there will be heavy rain in three days, and the Zhanghe River will be flooded. By that time, the battle will be successful.
According to Zhuge Liang's words, Liu Bei assembled his army, prepared his arrows and boats, arranged everything properly, and waited only three days for the heavy rain to make his troops ready.
As expected, the next day there was thunder, lightning, torrential rain and torrential flood in Zhanghe River.
Just as Cao's army was sheltering from the rain and resting, suddenly Liu's army came down from the sky, rushed into Cao's camp, annihilated Cao's army and captured Taizi village. However, the torrential rain and torrential flood did not stop because Liu Bei's army defeated Cao's army. On the contrary, the more the rain fell, the more the flood rose. Just as Liu Bei's army cheered for victory, the flood rose to the gate of Taizi Village Camp. People were all in a panic. In a moment, the camp was washed down by the flood, leaving only the lookout tower at the top of the camp.
When Liu Jun saw that the situation was not good, he had to withdraw to the north and build the village again. However, only a tall Tufeng was left in the Taizi Village Camp, which was washed down by the flood. After Liu Jun built the new village, he had to prepare grain and grass, expand the army and prepare for war. It lasted for many years, and was finally engulfed by Cao Jun because of the lack of morale. This is the origin of taizizhai village.
If you stand at the height of taizizhai village and look out at the Zhanghe River, you can see the clear water. There is a tall earth peak in the river, which faces taizizhai village across the river. That is the site of taizizhai camp.
In the 1950s, the central government built the Yuecheng Reservoir on the Zhanghe River in the Qing Dynasty. The taizizhai site became a big obstacle when digging and filling the dam. However, after the cultural relics department spared no effort to run up and down, the site was finally preserved and still stands aloof like a giant in the appearance of the reservoir.
In the 1960s, the once-in-a-hundred-year flood inundated Yuecheng Reservoir, but the tall earth peak of taizizhai site remained unchanged. It is a living history, telling the story of that year and answering the beautiful legend.
