Lindun Industrial Zone
Lindun Industrial Zone in Changtai District of Zhangzhou city was officially put into operation in January 2008. The industrial zone borders Tong'an District of Xiamen City, 60km away from Xiamen City and 54km away from Zhangzhou city.
Lindun industrial zone of Changtai district was officially put into operation in January 2008. It borders on Tong'an District of Xiamen City, 60km away from Xiamen City and 54km away from Zhangzhou city. It has jurisdiction over five administrative villages, including Linxi, Shiheng, qiaomei, Jiangdu and Meigong, and one community neighborhood committee, with a total area of 94 square kilometers and a population of 18000. In 2007, it realized industrial output value of 860 million yuan, paid taxes of 37.9 million yuan, agricultural output value of 54 million yuan, and per capita income of farmers of 4510 yuan.
Lindun industrial zone is the main private industrial concentration area in Changtai County, and also the largest stone processing and export base in Zhangzhou city. There are 770 stone processing enterprises and 1399 sawing tables in the region, including 16 large-scale industries with an annual output value of 300 million yuan. The products are exported to Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe, America and other countries and regions with an annual total export value of more than 7 million US dollars.
The area is rich in hydropower, tourism and mineral resources. There are more than 30 large and small hydropower stations, with an annual power generation of more than 38 million kwh; there are gaoanjun ancient village, kuibi qihuilou, hot spring, Yuzhu nunnery and other characteristic tourist attractions; there are granite, Jiulongbi, pyrophyllite, kaolin and other mineral resources, with large reserves.
Agricultural production is dominated by tea and fast-growing forest industry, with a total of 6850 mu of tea garden, an annual output value of more than 13 million yuan, and 1870 mu of fast-growing forest.
The tertiary industry mainly focuses on transportation, catering, hotels, business and so on. There are more than 1500 stone transport vehicles, more than 50 repair and refueling shops, and 250 service industries engaged in catering, business and tourism.
There are 1 middle school, 1 Central Primary School and 1 kindergarten with 2000 teachers and students; 1 township health center with 34 beds and 23 professionals.
