Lie Yu Town, Yunxiao County, Fujian Province, is located in the southeast of the golden triangle of Southern Fujian Province, with a total area of 54.65 square kilometers. It has 12 administrative villages and a population of 23157 (2017). It is known as the "land of vicissitudes, land of fish and rice".

Lie Yu town is located on the coast of the East China Sea, between Xiamen and Shantou special economic zones. It is 150 km away from Xiamen airport, 120 km away from Shantou airport, 120 km away from Zhangzhou Port, 45 km away from Dongshan port, 279 nautical miles away from Keelung port and 230 nautical miles away from Hong Kong. Lie Yu town was originally named Li Yu. It is named for the fact that there are mainstay stones at the confluence of three rivers, which are shaped like bamboo hats. Before the development of the Tang and Han Dynasties, as early as in prehistoric times, there were manyue people who lived in this area, such as slash and burn farming, fishing and hunting animals. In the 20th century, no remains of peiqiu have been found in the village tombs in the city, which are included in the provincial cultural relics protection units.

Lie island is close to the mountains and faces the sea. It has all kinds of mountains, seas and fields. It is a place with "half disturbance in war and half harvest in drought". From Shizi mountain (the highest peak in Southern Fujian), the barber leads Shuanglong to the first place, and then to Wushan mountain by veins. It winds eastward. Shuanglong enters the sea, and three rivers gather and encircle it into a lake. Gu Lei is the screen, and Xun Shui goes out of Beijing (the inland sea in front of lie Yu leads to the outer ocean, and the exit is called the big and small gate of Beijing). Its position is the direction of Lei Yu.

Around the town of guishewei, there are five animals in the sea (i.e. Wuyu Island) guarding, backed by immortal and two mountains in Dajian. It has beautiful mountains and rivers, pleasant climate, outstanding people, abundant resources, inexhaustible mineral resources on the mountain and inexhaustible seabed resources.

Lieyu has a long history. It has been more than 3600 years since it was made into Tang in Shang Dynasty, and its descendants have multiplied all over the country.

Since the reform and opening up, under the guidance of the Party Central Committee and the State Council's policy of enriching the people, all walks of life in Lieyu town have kept pace with the times. In particular, the marine aquaculture industries such as Paphia clam, oyster and abalone are scattered all over the world. In particular, hanging oyster, the town about Mu. On the north side of the town is Jihua farmer's market, which runs through Dingcheng, inner city, outer city, zhaiban and other villages. Every May 8, the last day of the lunar calendar, is the polder day. Thousands of villagers trade on the market, which promotes the circulation of agricultural products and seafood.

With the opening of the war preparation highway on the Yun lie line, the water and land transportation of the town is convenient, which promotes the traffic and communication with the outside world.
