Yannan street is located in the south of Yong'an City, Sanming City, Fujian Province. It is adjacent to Yandong street and Shangping Township in the East, Yanxi street in the west, Xiyang town in the South and Yanbei street in the north. From darongshu and Shibiao in the center of the city to guikou village, 10 km long street along Nanxi constitutes the main frame of the whole street. The total area is 64.3 square kilometers. The geographical conditions are superior. The forest area of the whole street is 49000 mu, and the forest coverage rate is 73%. Nanxi River flows through the territory for 12 kilometers, and Xiyang River, Guixi River and Luoxi river flow into Nanxi River. There are abundant water resources and good water quality. Nine small hydropower stations have been built with a total installed capacity of 6500 kW. Luoxi is planned as the third water source in the city. The whole street has 7900 mu of cultivated land, including 3000 mu of vegetables. It is the main vegetable and agricultural and sideline product base of the city, and has formed suburban characteristic agriculture such as Jifeng chicken feet pepper, puling flowers, Yongjiang strawberry, Luoxi freshwater fish, etc. Yannan is a vast hinterland of Yong'an urban expansion and industrial park development due to its low, flat and open terrain and superior geographical environment.

Yannan has a long history. The south tower is the symbol of Yongan County in Ming Dynasty. Taiping community and Nanjiao village are the continuation of Taiping square and Chengnan square. Today's commercial pedestrian street has been the most prosperous commercial section in Yong'an since ancient times.

During the Anti Japanese War, the capital of Fujian Province moved to Yong'an. Nanmen square became the transportation and cultural center of Yong'an, and the southern suburbs became the main residence of provincial units. The industrial base is good. Since the 1950s and 1960s, Yannan has become the base of Yong'an national industrial construction. At present, there are two medium-sized state-owned enterprises, Yong'an machinery factory and Yong'an chemical factory. There are Yongan automobile factory, Jinsheng Machinery, Fansheng gear, Qisheng mineral, Liyuan Electric Power, Hongchang industry and trade and other 12 Enterprises above Designated Size, with an output value of 1 billion yuan, accounting for nearly one fifth of the total output value of Enterprises above Designated Size in towns and streets of the city.
