Caofeng town
Caofang town is located in the south of Ninghua County, Sanming City, Fujian Province, 21.8 kilometers away from the county. Provincial Highway Yangwan road transit. Caofang is adjacent to Qingliu in the East and Changting and Liancheng in the south. It is one of the main portals from Ninghua county to Longyan and Ganzhou.
Caofang town covers an area of 201.10 square kilometers. In 2017, Caofang town has jurisdiction over 14 established villages, 1 community neighborhood committee, 93 natural villages and 144 villager groups, with a total of 8828 households and 29086 people.
Basic introduction
Caofang township is located in the southern end of Ninghua. Caofang has a long history and many places of interest. There is the tomb of yibingshou, a cultural relic under the second provincial protection. Caofang is a famous old revolutionary base, an old revolutionary base founded earlier in the second domestic revolution, and one of the birthplaces of the revolutionary struggle in Sanming area. In the late 1920s, Marxism Leninism began to spread. Xu Chisheng, the outstanding son and daughter of the people of Caofang Township, founded the first party branch of Ninghua County in Sanhuang in 1928, established secret peasant associations, and carried out revolutionary struggle. In June 1930, with the help of the first regiment of the Red Army, the first red political power in Ninghua County, the Nanxiang Committee of Ninghua County, was established. During the "World War II" period, more than 2000 outstanding sons and daughters of Caofang joined the army, and thousands of Red Army guerrillas and revolutionary masses gave their precious lives. More than 300 registered martyrs died for the revolution. Among them, major general Zhang Xinhua, a former commander of Fuzhou military region, was a member of Caofeng talcum village. The economy is dominated by agriculture. Grain, flue-cured tobacco, animal husbandry (piglets) and edible fungi are the main sources of farmers' income. It is one of the largest tobacco base townships in the province. In 2000, the total output value of agriculture was 75.28 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 2685 yuan.
Historical evolution
Datong township was established in 1943, Caofang commune was established in 1958, and the township was changed in 1984. In 1997, it had 14 village committees including Cao, Zeng Jiabei, Nankeng, Pingshang, Baofeng, Guandi, huangjinjin, Shuangshi, xiacao, Sanhuang, Luoxi, Genzhu, talc and Huangfang. On September 13, 2012, Fujian Provincial Government (minzhengwen No. 334) approved the abolition of the organizational system of Caofang Township and the establishment of Caofang town in Ninghua County, with the former administrative region of Caofang township as the administrative region of Caofang town and the government's residence unchanged.

Birthplace of revolution
Caofang township is one of the birthplaces of Sanming revolutionary struggle and one of the starting points of the 25000 Li Long March. The first party branch of Ninghua was born in Sanhuang village of Caofang and the first red political power Nanxiang Committee of Ninghua county was established. Ninghua's struggle against imperialism and feudalism started the first shot in Caofang. During the Second World War, more than 2000 outstanding sons and daughters of Caofeng joined the army, and more than 300 martyrs died for the revolution.
