Wanfu Township

Wanfu township is located in the southwest of Qingtian County, Zhejiang Province. Covering an area of 75.3 square kilometers (2017), Wanfu township is located at the junction of Qingtian County and Wencheng County, 65 kilometers away from Qingtian County, 50 kilometers away from Wencheng County tower, Fushan Township in the East, Wencheng County in the south, Linggen Township in the west, Beishan town in the north, and Xinzhuang village where the Township People's government is located.

Nantian was called Jiudu in ancient times. Wanfu township is located in the periphery of Nantian platform. It was called Jiuyuan in ancient times and became "Jiudu Jiuyuan". Shichiling in Wanfu is one of "Jiudu jiutiaoling".

Evolution of organizational system

During the Hongwu Period (1368-1398), Wanfu Township belonged to Rouyuan township of Qingtian. In 1663, the second year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty was a part of the nine capitals of Qingtian County. In 1728, the sixth year of Yongzheng reign in Qing Dynasty, it was called Jiudu Jiuyuan. In 1909, it was subordinate to Nantian township of Qingtian County. Wanfu Township began to be called in 1930. In 1940, after Beishan district was withdrawn, Wanfu Township and Shiyuan (now Wencheng County) Township were merged into Wanyuan township. In 1948, the Shiyuan part of Wanfu township was transferred to Wencheng County, which was also called Wanfu township (Beishan District). In 1952, Wanfu township was divided into Puzhou and Wanfu townships. In 1956, Puzhou and Wanfu were merged into Wanfu. In 1958, the people's commune system was implemented, known as Wanfu commune. Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, Wanfu township government was stationed in Wanfu village. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, the residence was Xinzhuang village. Up to now, the township name and residence remain unchanged.

Historical celebrities

At the beginning of the Republic of China (1924), Xia Chao was governor of Zhejiang Province, who was a native of Xinzhuang village. Build a reservoir

The total area of the township is 72km2, of which 279.6 hectares are cultivated land, distributed between hillsides and valleys; 4417 hectares are forest land, and 600 hectares are grassland, all distributed among mountains. The township is located at the top of the mountain, is an extension of the Nantian Alpine plain, with an average altitude of 500m. The mountains fluctuate continuously. The highest mountain is Sifang mountain peak, with an altitude of 1150M. The streams flow into Tankeng reservoir from the central and eastern mountain streams. At present, the Lihu hydropower station built in 2002 has a total reservoir capacity of 15.45 million m3, a normal capacity of 11.7 million m3 and an installed capacity of 10000 kwt. It is a medium-sized reservoir with a rainfall collection area of 38.2 km2 and three small power stations.

Wanfu is an agricultural township.
