It is located in the north of Xiang'an District, 19 kilometers away from Tong'an city and 23 kilometers away from Xiang'an District. Founded in the 1950s, it is one of the reclamation areas designated by the former Ministry of agriculture and reclamation. It is a state-owned reclamation enterprise.
According to the notice of the municipal Party committee and the municipal government on adjusting part of the powers and financial system, Damaoshan farm was established in December 2003 and transferred to Xiang'an District for management. The farm has four operation areas and 16 natural villages with a total population of 2234 (2010). The farm covers an area of 22.4 square kilometers.
Historical evolution
Damaoshan farm was built in the 1950s, which is one of the reclamation areas designated by the former Ministry of agriculture and reclamation, and is a state-owned enterprise. At the beginning of the construction, it was equivalent to a sub county-level system. In the 1960s, when the country was in economic difficulties, the farm resettled a large number of Xiamen industrial enterprises to adjust personnel. In a specific historical period, the farm produced a large amount of grain, agricultural products and sisal, which made positive contributions to the national food security and national defense construction, and maintained social stability. In the past half century, after several generations of hard work, the economic pattern of comprehensive development of agriculture, forestry and animal husbandry has been initially formed and listed in the development plan of Xiang'an new district.

The existing cement pavement leads to the site, and the cement pavement of two main roads from the site to houlupu and from the site to liucuo village runs through the whole site. The transformation of communication facilities and power grid has been basically completed. The infrastructure of the farm is increasingly improved with the concern of the municipal and district governments.
land resource
The farm covers an area of 22.4 square kilometers, with 23000 mu of forest land (including 13603 mu of provincial ecological public welfare forest and 6000 mu of fruit land) and 2400 mu of cultivated land. The annual average temperature is 21 ℃, and the annual rainfall is 1442.4mm. The farm is characterized by low mountains and hills, with the highest altitude of 704M and the lowest altitude of 64.5m.
There are two small type II reservoirs with a capacity of more than 100000 cubic meters and 14 small reservoirs with a total capacity of 1.399 million cubic meters. The reservoir has a capacity of 3.73 million cubic meters, and the installed capacity of the hydropower station is 640 kW. The construction of Ximei reservoir hydropower station in Damaoshan is under way, and it is expected to be put into use by the end of this year.
