Xutuan coal mine of Huaibei Mining Co., Ltd. is located in Xutuan Town, Mengcheng County. It was officially completed and put into operation on November 8, 2004. The coal has the characteristics of medium ash, ultra-low sulfur, ultra-low phosphorus and high calorific value. It is a high-quality coking coal and power coal. The design capacity of the mine is 1.5 million tons per year, and the annual production capacity can reach 3 million tons after reconstruction and expansion The first pair of mines with 8 pairs of mines has been built in 7 years, which is also a demonstration mine with "new wells and new mechanisms".

Xutuan coal mine is a national key construction project in the Ninth Five Year Plan period. The ground was broken on October 20, 1997. The design production capacity of the first phase of the mine is 1.5 million tons / year. The joint trial operation was realized on July 8, 2004 and officially put into operation on November 8. After the first phase project is put into operation, the second phase reconstruction and expansion project (3 million tons / year) will be carried out simultaneously. It is expected that it will be put into operation by the end of 2007, and the raw coal output is expected to reach 3 million tons in 2008. The mine field is flat with an area of 61 square kilometers. The industrial reserves of the mine are 460 million tons, and the recoverable reserves are 220 million tons. The main coal type is fat coal, followed by one third of coking coal, which are rare coal in China.
