Guantun Township

Guantun township is a township under the jurisdiction of Yingshang County in Anhui Province. It was officially established in November 1996. It is close to the Huaihe River, with bangang town in the East, Runhe town in the north and Huoqiu County in Lu'an City across the river in the southwest. With an area of 59 square kilometers and 39746 mu of arable land, it has jurisdiction over 7 administrative villages (merged from the original 14 administrative villages), 199 production groups and 88 natural villages. The permanent population is 29100 (2017), and the main ethnic groups are Han and Hui.

Guantun Township, Yingshang County, Anhui Province, known as "Guanzhou city" in ancient times, is a strategic place for military strategists. Guantun township is located in the flood storage area along the Huaihe River. The famous Huaihe River flood control project Linhuaigang North sub dam passes through the area. In Guantun Township, there are 8 large and small power irrigation and drainage stations, with a total installed capacity of 1425 kW, basically realizing the goal of ensuring income from drought and flood, and the construction of agricultural infrastructure is gradually improving. The whole township is flat with fertile soil. It is widely planted with rice, wheat, soybean, rape, corn and other crops and vegetables.
