Feinan town

Feinan town is located in the middle of Huaiyuan County. It borders on Wohe River in the south, Feihe River in the north, Gucheng town and Jingqian Township in the East, and Longkang town in the West. Feihe River is a natural river without pollution. The town can raise more than 10000 mu of water, rich in fish, crab, shrimp and other aquatic products. Feinan highway and Jiefu Expressway pass through the territory from east to west. Feinan town is 13 kilometers away from 206 National Highway in the East, 18 kilometers away from Huaiyuan entrance of he Xu Expressway and bengning expressway, and only 8 kilometers away from Jiefu Beng Expressway in the West. It is 40 km away from Bengbu Railway Station, with convenient transportation.

In June 2017, Anhui Provincial Department of Civil Affairs issued wmdhh [2017] No. 284 "letter on agreeing to cancel Feinan township of Huaiyuan County to establish Feinan town": with the consent of the provincial government, it is agreed to cancel Feinan township of Huaiyuan County to establish Feinan town. After the township is removed to establish a town, the town government is still stationed in Shuanggou village.

Feinan town has an average altitude of 5 meters, a relatively flat terrain, an average annual precipitation of about 800 mm, and an average annual temperature of 13.5 ℃. It is a warm temperate semi humid monsoon agricultural climate zone with four distinct seasons and pleasant climate. Feinan town is rich in agricultural and sideline products with fertile land. It is known as the land of fish and rice. The production of glutinous rice accounts for more than 95% of rice planting.

Feinan town was formed in May 2004 by the integration of 13 villages in Wobei of Shuanggou Township and Yanji Township, with a population of 46968 (2017), 17 administrative villages and nearly 11000 households. The total area is 46968 people (in 2017), and the arable land is 75000 mu.

In June 2017, Feinan town was established in Feinan township of Huaiyuan County. After the township was removed, the town government was still stationed in Shuanggou village.

Feinan town has one provincial new rural construction demonstration village and one municipal new rural construction demonstration village. Feinan town won the title of "safe town" of Bengbu City in 2006.

Feinan town is a big agricultural township with more than 70000 Mu paddy fields. It is a national high-quality glutinous rice production base, providing 50 million jin of glutinous rice raw materials for rice wine and other factories every year.
