Qixi town

Qixi Town, subordinate to Kaihua County, Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province, is located at the junction of Zhejiang, Anhui and Jiangxi provinces. It is the birthplace of Qiantang River, known as the No.1 town at the source of Qianjiang River, and the west gate of Zhejiang Province.

Qixi town is located in the northwest of Kaihua County, Zhejiang Province, with Huangshan in Anhui Province in the north and Qiandao Lake in the East. The whole town covers an area of 128.2 square kilometers, with 10 administrative villages and 22 natural villages, 4669 people (in 2017) and 115 urban population. The town government is located at 108 xikengkou. There are 16 party branches (including 16 rural branches) and 298 party members. Qixi is named after the place where Zuoxi, Taolin and Longmen streams converge and flow into Majin stream. 205 national highway.

Historical evolution

Qixi township was established in 1950, renamed Qiling Township in 1956, Qixi Township in 1961, Xikeng town in 1987 and Qixi town in 1992. In 1996, it covers an area of 128 square kilometers and has a population of 7000. It has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages including Lingli, Dalong, Jiangyuan, Qixi, Zuoxi, Shangcun, renzongkeng, liyangtian, fengyingtan and Longmen.

Qixi has beautiful scenery. The ecological environment is superior. The whole town is "nine mountains, half water, half farmland", with a forest coverage rate of 91.3%. It is a key ecological function protection area in the whole province. The surface water quality is maintained at class I level all the year round, and the ambient air quality is better than the national secondary standard all the year round. The content of negative oxygen ions in qianjiangyuan National Forest Park is more than 20000 / cm3, which is worthy of the name of "natural oxygen bar".

Rich in tourism resources, it is known as "the first town of Qianjiang River source". It is the birthplace of Qiantang River and Kaihua Longding tea. Qianjiangyuan National Forest Park with beautiful scenery, steep mountains and lush forests, and Qixi reservoir, the largest water conservancy project in the county, are located in our town. The reservoir capacity is 51.8 million cubic meters. There are Guantai Phoebe community, Changbing shuanghuamu group, Taxus chinensis, Lianxiang tree, black muntjac, red billed Blue Magpie, and so on Acacia and many other rare plants, birds and animals, as well as the peach blossom jellyfish known as the giant panda in the water. Mingfengtang, puyuantang, Zhonglian temple and waishan Tulou group are well preserved and unique. Qixi is also a town in the old revolutionary base area, where the Anti Japanese advance team led by Fang Zhimin and Su Yu once fought.

Qixi is rich in products, such as tea, Camellia oleifera, clear water fish, moso bamboo, wild kudzu powder, wild honey, wild orchid, native chicken, dried bamboo shoots and other agricultural products. "Kaihua Longding", one of the top ten famous teas in Zhejiang Province, is originated from Dalong mountain, which is located in Qixi town.

In 2010, the total output value of industry and agriculture was 81 million yuan, an increase of 8.2% over the previous year, of which the agricultural output value was 32.35 million yuan, an increase of 4.3% over the previous year, the industrial output value was 48.65 million yuan, an increase of 12.4% over the previous year, and the per capita income of farmers reached 4650 yuan, an increase of 6.7% over the previous year.

In 2013, the GDP of the whole town was 81 million yuan.

In 2017, the annual per capita net income of farmers reached 11701 yuan, with an average annual growth of 9.5%. The total income of rural tourism exceeded 56 million yuan, with an average annual growth of 20%. The number of rural tourism practitioners in the town reached more than 1100, and the number of tourists received exceeded 450000.
