Bolong town

Bolong town is a town under the jurisdiction of Jingyang District, Deyang City, Sichuan Province. It is located in the northern edge of Chengdu Plain, at the junction of Mianzhu City, Luojiang county and Anxian County, 17 kilometers south of Deyang, and governs two towns, namely, Bolong and Longxing. Bolong town has 14 administrative villages, 115 villager groups and one neighborhood committee, with a total population of 24274 (2017), covering an area of 39.64 square kilometers.

Bailong Town, Jingyang District, Deyang City, is the hometown of Ye Yushan, a famous sculptor and former president of Sichuan Academy of fine arts. It is located on the northern edge of Chengdu Plain, at the junction of Mianzhu City, Luojiang county and Anxian county. It is known as an ancient town. It is 17 kilometers south of Deyang, and has jurisdiction over two towns, namely Bailong and Longxing. It has historically been one of the important distribution centers of agricultural and sideline products in Jingyang district. There are 14 administrative villages, 115 villager groups and one neighborhood committee in the town, with a total population of 24274 people (2017), covering an area of 39.64 square kilometers. The terrain in the town is flat, and the gravity irrigation area is more than 90%. Bolong town enjoys a pleasant climate, and its mulberry planting and silkworm rearing rank the first in Deyang. It is unique in Bazi, West Sichuan, and is a major economic advantage in the town. It is also famous for its high-grade raw silk and satin. The refined bristle products sell well in the international market. The refined Martian iron pipe fittings, new plastic pipes and Xihai series liquor sell well both inside and outside the province. The town has initially formed a regional industrial pattern with silk, pipes, food and bristle as the leading products, and petrochemical industry and building materials as well. Bolong town has convenient transportation and communication, and sufficient water and electricity resources. There are No.3 buses in Deyang City, which go directly to the town. Every village is connected with cement BiaoMei road. The Party committee and government of Jingyang district plan to expand the highway from Deyang to Bolong to Mianzhu Wufu into a second-class highway. There are 2000 Automatic program-controlled telephones which can be directly dialed all over the country and the world. There are one 35KVA substation and one natural gas station with a daily gas supply of 12000 cubic meters.
