Xiaoyue street is located in the northeast of Shangyu District, Yuyao City (Ningbo) in the East and Shangyu City in the West. It is the east gate of Shaoxing and Shangyu. National Highway 329 runs through the East and west of the town. Shanghai Hangzhou Ningbo Expressway is equipped with a crossing. It is about 5 km away from Shangyu City, 40 km away from Hangzhou Bay sea crossing bridge and 15 km away from Jiashao river crossing bridge.

In July 2017, with the approval of Zhejiang Provincial People's government, Xiaoyue town was abolished and Xiaoyue street in Shangyu district was established.
