Didang street is under the jurisdiction of Shaoxing Yuecheng district. It is located in the northeast of Yuecheng District, east of Huancheng River, south of Erhuan North Road, west of Erhuan East Road and north of Renmin Road (excluding Dazhong Village).

Evolution of organizational system
On March 15, 2007, Didang street was officially established. It is composed of some villages (communities) and regions of Jishan street, Jishan street, Tashan street and Donghu town. It is managed by the Management Committee of Shaoxing Economic Development Zone in Zhejiang Province. The four directions of the street area are: East 2nd Ring Road, West Dongchi road and East Ring Road, South Renmin Road and North 2nd Ring Road, covering an area of 7.0 square kilometers. Street management includes 2 communities, 6 administrative villages and 1 neighborhood committee: wushimen community, Dusi community, luojiazhuang village, Shenjiazhuang village, Wuyun village, Xijin village, Gexin village, Tangwan village and wayaotou neighborhood committee. The office is located at 226 Yundong road. In January 2019, the seven communities of Dongqiao, Leyuan, Longzhou garden, Jishan, shizifan, Yongxing and Chang'an in the former Jishan street were under the jurisdiction of Didang street.

In 2018, the general public budget revenue of the sub district area was 439 million yuan; the total industrial output value was 2.02 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 9.73%; the sales volume (turnover) of wholesale, retail, accommodation and dining above the limit was 16.54 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 4.44%; the total retail sales of social consumer goods above the limit was 1.554 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 9.87%. 957 new economic entities have been added, 26 enterprises have been transformed from individual enterprises, 11 enterprises have been upgraded from lower to higher, and 8 enterprises have been transformed from production to law. Five national high-tech enterprises were declared and three were identified.
Transportation
The ring road and the Second Ring Road pass through the streets, and the main roads such as Renmin East Road, Shengli East Road, Zhongxing North Road and Yundong road are accessible. The street is 15 kilometers north of Hangzhou Ningbo Expressway. On December 29, 2019, the construction of Didang station, the second phase of Shaoxing rail transit intercity line project, was started, which is located along the Xiaoyong Railway on the north side of xishishan road. After completion, starting from Didang station, you can reach Qianqing, Shangyu, Yuyao, Ningbo and other places, and reach Hangzhou in the long term.

History and culture
The origin of place names
Didang street is named after Didang lake. Didang lake, known as "diedang" in ancient times, can be seen in the water conservancy chapter of Shaoxing Fu Zhi in Qianlong period, which means that the water is very shallow, like a dish of vegetables.
cultural relics and historic sites
There are dusimen and xishishan relics in the street area. Dusimen used to be a dual-purpose city gate on the east side of Shaoxing ancient city. It is located in an important traffic area. The dry gate is used by pedestrians and the water gate is used by ships. During the Anti Japanese War, the original city gate was demolished, and now dusimen was rebuilt in 2001. Xishi mountain site is located in the northeast of wuyunmenwai. Xishi mountain is where Xishi learned etiquette. On March 11, 1963, xishishan site was announced as Zhejiang provincial cultural protection unit. In 2009, the construction of Xishi Mountain Heritage Park began and was completed in 2012.

Located in the northeast of the street, Didang Lake Park is an urban regional comprehensive park integrating ecological leisure, cultural entertainment, tourism and vacation. It has the first professional cycling road in Shaoxing City. The park covers an area of about 3700 mu, including 1700 mu of water area.
