Guihu town

Guihu Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Taishun County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, is the South Gate of Taishun County. It is located at the southernmost end of Taishun County. It is adjacent to Shiyang town of Taishun County in the northeast, Fu'an City and Zherong County of Fujian Province in the West and south, and Longxi community of Taishun County in the northwest. It is a border trade town with two provinces and three counties (cities).

In 1994, Guihu town was removed from the township to build a town; in 2011, Guihu town was merged into Shiyang town to establish Guihu community; in 2016, the system of Guihu town was restored. Taishun stone, also known as pyrophyllite, is composed of alumina, silica, iron oxide, quartz and other silicate components, thus forming different colors and textures. Guihu Langqiao

At the top of the tower, you can overlook the symbolic natural landscape of Guihu Town, which is called "Shengui Wangyue". It looks like a stone turtle looking up at the stars, so it gets its name. There are also ancient poems in the pavilion or in the stone column of the high platform.

Guihu God Culture Festival

Guihu "God Festival" has a history of more than 500 years. In 2008, the festival was listed in the second batch of intangible cultural heritage list of Wenzhou City. Guihu town in Taishun has been holding the first God culture festival since 2012. Guihu silver mine site

Guihu silver mine site is located in Baiyin village, Guihu Town, Taishun County. It was first mined in the early Ming Dynasty (about 1368) and flourished in the period from Jingtai to Chenghua (1450-1487). It was a large silver mine in Zhejiang and Fujian at that time. The mining scale was very large. It was one of the main production areas of silver mining by the imperial court. Therefore, the imperial court set up a eunuch to supervise and manage the silver mining. The proverb "three thousand silver workers, four thousand visitors" is popular among the people in Guihu, which vividly describes the prosperity of the silver mining industry in that heyday. After the silver mine was hollowed out due to the local mountain, not bearing the heavy load of the ridge, there was a roof collapse mining disaster, resulting in thousands of deaths, which can be called the most severe mining disaster in history. It is said that in a few months after the collapse, you can still vaguely hear the self-help sound of hammers clanging in the cave and the miners' call for help. After the disaster, Emperor Jiajing of Ming Dynasty issued an imperial edict to prohibit mining, and Baiyin Mining Area was abandoned. Today, the stone tablet of the imperial edict is still preserved on the cliff of the mining area.

Wenfu highway (Shiyang Guihu section)

Wenfu highway reconstruction project (Shiyang Guihu section) is in full swing. Wenfu highway (Shiyang Guihu section) is constructed according to the standard of class II Highway, with a length of 13.74 km, a design speed of 60 km / h (some sections of 40 km / h), a subgrade width of 10 m (some sections of 8.5 m), a tunnel net width of 10 m, two tunnels of 712 m and 12 bridges of 2365 M.
