Huangtian Street

Huangtian street is located in the south of Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province, on the Jiangxi Bank of Nanxi River. It is adjacent to Nancheng street in the north, Sanjiang street across the river in the East, Oubei street in the South and qiaoxia town in the West. There are 223 provincial road, 104 National Road and the north line of Wenzhou Ring Expressway passing through the territory. Yongjia station is set up here for Ningbo Taizhou Wenzhou Railway. It is said that in the old days, when there was drought, the fields were scorched yellow, so it was named Huangtian. The total area of the street is 32.5 square kilometers, with a permanent population of 61000, including 28000 local residents. The domestic industries are characterized by footwear and hardware. In July 2001, Huangtian town was abolished. Three villages, Huangyu, Guanqian and Yumen, originally belonging to Dongan Township, were under the jurisdiction of Shangtang Town, and the rest were under the jurisdiction of Oubei town. In 2011, Huangtian was separated from Oubei town and Huangtian sub district office was established. Donglian village of Huangtian street was named as the cultural demonstration village of Wenzhou in 2011.
