Dajiahe town

Dajiahe Town, belonging to Ninghai County, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, is located in the northeast of Ninghai County, named after dajiahe village. It borders Xiangshan County in the East, Liyang Town in the southeast, Qiaotou Hu Street in the south, huangdungang in the northwest and Qiangjiao town across the sea. The total area is 75.6 square kilometers (2017), the land area is 64.80 square kilometers, and the sea area is 10.82 square kilometers. 15784 people (2017), with jurisdiction over one community and nine administrative villages. Historical evolution

Before liberation, it belonged to Xiaoru township. In 1951, Minzhu Township, Shimen Township, Heping Township and Chaixi Township were established. In 1956, the four townships were merged into Minzhu township. It was incorporated into Huangdun people's commune in 1958. In 1961, it was separated from Huangdun people's Commune and established a democratic commune in the former Minzhu, Shimen, Heping three small townships and some areas of Chaixi township (Chaixi and other villages originally belonging to Chaixi Township were assigned to Xiangshan County in the same year). In 1981, it was renamed dajiahe commune because of its duplicate name; in 1983, it was renamed dajiahe township. In 1996, towns were set up instead of townships.

geographical environment

The terrain of dajiahe town is high in the southeast and low in the northwest. Except for the relatively flat area along Huangdun port in the west, it belongs to hilly area and mountainous area in the southeast and North. It is an extension of Chashan mountain, and the mountains are overlapping. The highest peak is dongtiaoshan in the East, with an altitude of 810.8 meters.
