Nancai Township

Nancai Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Sucheng District, Suqian City, Jiangsu Province, is managed by Suqian Economic and Technological Development Zone (hereinafter referred to as "economic development zone"), which is located in the southeast of the economic development zone, east of the central part of Sucheng District, about 14 kilometers away from the municipal government, with an administrative area of 39.85 square kilometers. By the end of 2019, Nancai township has one residential community and eight administrative villages with a population of nearly 30000. The township government is located in Nanfan Road, Nancai community.

Nancai, whose full name is nancaiji, was originally named Caiji. It was a fair set up by Cai Shunqing's grandfather. Because there was also a Caiji in Qianxi, it was renamed the current name to avoid duplicate names. In 1956, it belonged to Buzi district. In 1967, some villages of Nancai, Qingyi and Hezuo were merged into Nancai township. In 1996, it belongs to Suyu County. In 2004, it belongs to Sucheng district. In 2013, Nancai township was built as a whole and put under the trusteeship of economic development zone. The traffic conditions in the territory are excellent. Huaixu expressway, 250 Provincial Road (development avenue) and xusu Huaiyan railway pass through the territory. The ancient Yellow River went to the south, and the minbian river ran through it. Nancai township is a famous "vegetable town" in Suqian, mainly planting eggplant, celery and other crops.

In 2019, the total financial revenue of Nancai township was 76.3866 million yuan, an increase of 29.8% over the previous year. In the same year, Nancai township was selected as "civilized township of Jiangsu Province in 2016-2018".

History of construction

After liberation, it belonged to Suwei district.

In 1956, Suwei district was abolished and changed to Buzi district.

In 1967, some villages of Nancai, Qingyi and Hezuo were merged into Nancai township.

In 1958, the people's commune, known as Nancai people's commune.

In 1983, the rural system was restored to Nancai township.

In 1996, the prefecture level Suqian City was established. The former Suqian county was divided into Sucheng district and Suyu County, and Nancai township was subordinate to Suyu County.

In 2004, Suyu was changed from county to District, and Nancai township was separated out and brought under the jurisdiction of Sucheng district.

In 2013, Nancai Township established the trusteeship as a whole under the jurisdiction of the economic development zone.

In 1983, the brigade was changed into a village.

In 2001, the village level region was adjusted from 17 villages to 12 villages.

In 2014, three villages, Xingyue, Guoyuan and Huangqiao, separated from Nancai Township and came under the jurisdiction of Yanghe.
