Dasi town

Dasi Town, belonging to Gaogang District, Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It is adjacent to Taizhou Yangtze River Bridge in the south, China Medical City in the west, and the main urban area of Taizhou in the north. It is the "East Gate" of Gaogang district.

Dasi town is known as "Millennium Business town" and "national ecological town". Historical evolution

It is said that during the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, Confucius once preached ethics here. Local businessmen and celebrities respected Confucianism and took the name of Sishui, the mother river of Confucius' hometown.

In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), there were 8 cities and 40 townships in Tai county, and Dasi Township was one of them.

In the 16th year of the Republic of China, the county and township were established, and Dasi was set as a township under the jurisdiction of Taixing county.

From the 18th to the beginning of March of the Republic of China, Dasi Township belonged to the third district of Tai county (Tangwan).

In the 23rd year of the Republic of China, Dasi was established as a town under the Second District of Tai county (Sixiangkou). In the 36th year of the Republic of China, in order to adapt to the environment of the struggle against the enemy, Dasi was temporarily divided into Taixing county and set up Dasi district.

In January of the 38th year of the Republic of China, Taixing county was liberated, and 12 districts were set up in July. At the same time, Dasi district was abolished and Dasi town was set up, which was subordinate to Xuanbao district.

In May 1950, Taizhou and Tai county were merged into Tai county and Dasi district was added. In October of the same year, Tai county and Taizhou were divided, and Dasi District governed one town and 14 townships. 1 town is Dasi Town, and 14 townships are Yihuo, Silong, Shuangma, Erchen, Caoyu, Lianzhu, Caohe, Daibai, Longhe, Chuye, Jiejia, Nantang, Sanpeng and Danye.

Since February 1956, the district and township were merged, and Dasi was set as Township, which was subordinate to Zhangdian District.

In October 1957, Tai county completely withdrew the district and merged the township, and Dasi was still the township.

Caoyu township was established in November 1957, and was abolished in May of the following year and merged into Dasi Township.

On September 22, 1958, Dasi Township was changed into Dasi people's Commune and merged into Zhangdian people's commune.

In March 1959, it was set aside from Zhangdian people's Commune and still built Dasi people's commune, belonging to Taizhou County after the second merger of the two countries.

In February 1960, Taizhou county changed from 36 people's communes to 33 people's communes. Dasi is one of the 33 people's communes, with 15 production teams (Dasi, Shizhuang, Yeqiao, Kangle, Malong, Dama, Xichen, Zhongchen, Huobao, Luochen, Luozhuang, Dongping, Caoyu, Qiaohe, Qianjin) and 131 production teams. When Tai county and Taizhou were divided in June 1962, Dasi people's commune was under the jurisdiction of Tai county, with 30 production teams and 198 production teams.

In 1976, the first production team of the former Damascus brigade and the fifth production team of the Yeqiao brigade were divided into two production teams respectively. There are 30 production teams and 200 production teams in Dasi commune.

In July 1983, the government and the commune were set up separately, and the name of Dasi people's commune was changed to Dasi Township. It has 30 brigades, including Dasi, Xiaozhuang, Sanxing, Shinan, Shizhuang, Yeqiao, Kangle, Jinlong, Xiaoma, Dama, Beitian, zhouduo, Chenbei, Sangang, Zhongchen, Chenxi, Caohe, Caoyu, Qiancheng, Qiaohe, Lianchen, Dongping, Hebei, Lianzhuang, Lianxi, Lianan, Dongxing, Huobao, Shagang and Xiaohuo .

In March 2001, the administrative villages were merged. Dasi town has 12 villages and 200 villager groups, including Dasi, Shizhuang, Kangle, Malong, Dama, Beigang, Erchen, Caoyu, Qianjin, Yichen, Yizhuang and Huobao.

In 2002, Dasi community was established in Dasi town.

In September 2008, Dasi town in Jiangyan was put under the jurisdiction of Gaogang District, and in 2009, Dasi town was officially put under the jurisdiction of Gaogang district.
