Jilin Economic Development Zone, established at the end of 1998, is the only national patent industrialization pilot base in Northeast China, which has passed the double certification of ISO14001 environmental management system and ISO9001 quality management system. The administrative area is 103 square kilometers, with a planned area of 28 square kilometers and a permanent population of 68000. There are 1189 enterprises of various types, including 26 industrial enterprises above designated size.

Jilin economic development zone is located in the northwest plain of Jilin City (the geographical center coordinates are 126 ° 28 ′ E and 43 ° 37 ′ n). It is 15 kilometers away from the center of Jilin City and 92 kilometers away from Changchun City. It is located in the east of Changchun Jilin economic corridor.

The administrative area is 103 square kilometers, and the planned development area is 43.5 square kilometers. The planning area is adjacent to Songhua River in the East, Jilin Changbei highway in the west, Changhui Expressway in the South and Tongxi River in the north.

The development zone has a north temperate continental monsoon climate. The annual sunshine duration is 2400-2600 hours.

Temperature: the annual average temperature is 4.2 ℃, the monthly average temperature is below - 13 ℃ from December to February of the next year, and the number of days with the daily average temperature greater than 35 ℃ is very few, with an annual average of 0.3 days. The frost free period is about 130 days, and winter lasts from late October to mid April of the next year.

Humidity: the annual average relative humidity is 70%; the relative humidity from July to September is greater than 75%, which is the maximum period of the whole year; the relative humidity from April to May is 56%, which is the minimum period of the year.

Atmospheric pressure: annual average atmospheric pressure is 100.331kpa, winter average atmospheric pressure is 101.325kpa, summer average atmospheric pressure is 99.192kpa.

Precipitation: the annual average precipitation is 674.2 mm, the monthly precipitation from June to August is more than 100 mm, and the total precipitation in three months accounts for about 65% of the whole year; the precipitation from December to February is rare, about 6 mm per month. The annual precipitation days are 119.8 days, 14-17 days from June to August and about 6 days from January to February.

Urban support

Jilin is an important industrial city in Northeast China. At present, there are 453 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size, and the total assets of industrial enterprises have reached 85 billion yuan.

A large number of well-known domestic enterprises, such as PetroChina Jilin chemical company, Jilin Ferroalloy, Jilin Carbon, Jilin paper, Jidong Cement, Jianlong iron and steel, Huaxing electronics, Jilin nickel, Jilin aluminum, Jilin light vehicles, are located in Jilin City. Jilin chemical fiber and Jilin fuel ethanol are built in the industrial base. These enterprises are rich in raw materials, talents, technology and other resources.

According to the master plan of Jilin economic development zone and development strategy of Jilin Economic Development Zone compiled by Tsinghua University, Beijing urban planning and Design Institute and Jilin University, Jilin economic development zone aims to build a modern ecological industrial new town, relying on the existing resources and industrial advantages, focusing on the development of leading industries such as fine chemical industry, biochemical industry, light industry, textile and brand food. In the direction of industrial development, we should focus on the development of export processing industry, high-tech industry, processing industry which can replace imported products and the tertiary industry which focuses on service, finance and logistics.
