Shuangbai County Shuangbai County is a county under the jurisdiction of Chuxiong Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province. The territory is populated by 18 ethnic groups, including Han, Yi, Hui, Miao and Hani. The minority nationalities account for 49.9% of the registered residence population in the county, and the natural growth rate of the population is 3.67 per thousand. Shuangbai County, an important ecological barrier at the source of the Red River, is the core area of Ailaoshan National Nature Reserve, and also an important birthplace of Yi People's "Sansheng" culture. Shuangbai is the "Pearl of green sea in Central Yunnan" and the "hometown of tiger culture of Yi nationality in China".
In 2012, Shuangbai County was named "the hometown of Chinese folk art" and "the hometown of Yi culture" by the Ministry of culture. In July 2019, it won the title of "China's natural oxygen bar" establishment area in 2019. The seventh batch of national demonstration areas (units) for national unity and progress. Historical evolution
